2011  SFL / CLC - SPRING SCHOOL

Labour Law Course

Instructors:             Larry Kowalchuk                Cara Banks

Guest Facilitator:          Larry Hubich

Format of Classes

The typical format will include presentations by instructors, use of technology and student analysis of issues related to their collective agreement and personal experience.

The purpose of this class is to demystify the law, both as it is written and as it is decided by the courts.

Students will be required to write a law, either amending a specific section of legislation or adding a new section to existing legislation.

This is to include a critique of the existing law, the reason for the legislative amendment or new law and how this impacts on their collective agreement relationship with their employer.
